HAPPY ANNIVERSARY !!!!

Back to Normal!

New computer has arrived from Dell on the 23rd October as promised.  Oh how pleased I am that all files were backed up on to a hardrive -   that said mind you  installing the virus checker and the mail took long enough last night and then installing all the programs for my website and pictures etc.
All is still not perfect but at least it runs at high speed and it will grow as the days go past!
Not an exciting present, expensive but necessary!  and I have enjoyed my time without it:

Below is Wreath No 2, think I will make these as Christmas presents for family and friends, I have bought 4 more rings and material so more may follow:

This one was made from 5 fat christmas quarters mostly green but with one red
colour and one white colour 420 squares again!

Well I am enjoying the peace and quiet with no computer in my workroom - I am even getting used to the big black screen!  Is this a good sign I wonder!

Anyway not wanting to make Bears yesterday I made this rag wreath instead.  I cut out 420 squares from 5 fat quarters of christmassy material and prodded them all day into the polystyrene ring!  Very satisfying!

Have the need to make another one now, could have a house full by Christmas!  Ahh but then there is that new computer arriving soon and all those files and programmes that will need to be uploaded!  A very daunting job for next week.  Hope you like my Christmas Wreath - I have taken it off my door for now - little too early I think!  I can see Paul's face if I leave it up!

SASHA new Bear today

 Saying Hello to Sasha, my latest Bear, just love these new Tissavel faux furs, they are so soft and silky to the touch.  This one has a dark pruple backing with the beautiful pink tips, they just move in the breeze!

BUTTER NUT!

Beautiful sunny Spring day here in Hampshire, the rain has been wonderful, everywhere is clean and fresh and bursting into life once more!  Need more rain by night and sun shine by day!  As if that is going to happen?
Anyway my latest Bear is BUTTER NUT, a very  happy Bear made just a little differently this time.  He has bent legs for sitting on the shelf or for dangling his legs over! and he has little bent arms too to finish off his rounded  cuddly body.  Available now from the website:

CARDIFF CASTLE RBLR 31st March 2012

Great day out today with the Riders Branch - it was our cheque presentation (that is all the funds we have raised as a group over the past year for the RBLR Poppy Appeal).  Our cheque was for £139,524.40.
So here we all are at the service station meet just outside Cardiff in Wales - what a 'mob' we all are!!

This is Paul on our Harley ready for the off!  we went in convoy to the Castle - was great riding through the town of Cardiff as a pack of 130 bikes!   

Just bikes in front as far as you could see!

Simon Weston, the Falklands veteran, accepted our cheque, he rode into the castle on a trike. 

I am in the crowd - find me if you can!!

As I said a great day,  a 260 miles round trip for Paul and myself on the Harley, first time over the Severn Bridge and first trip to Cardiff in Wales.  The foreigners were very welcoming and organized a wonderful day for us all.

Must be nearly Spring here in the UK if there are Bunnies about!  My first of the year is Sweet Pea.  Oh so cuddly and soft and very white and pink!

BATHROOM COMPLETE!

Just one month after starting and many many problems as our house is old and the electrics were very old! we have our new Shower Room.  I will agree it is not to everyone's taste but Paul and I love the red and black and white.  As pictures tell the story I will leave you with them.  Just to say Thank You to Paul for all your hard work with no money or payment at the end of it!

MY BEAR REACHES THE SOUTH POLE!

Wow!  My Bear OLLY has reached the South Pole with the guys.  I am so chuffed to bits that TEAM MERCURY asked me to make their 4th Team Member.  They came in second to the Norwegians but hey I am so proud of little OLLY and he did it all without a coat!  but The guys Mark and Bill did extremely well too didn't they?

BATHROOM Part 2!

Well its slow! but we have the underfloor heating down and the tiles fitted on top - not wired up yet though! the plumbing is all done and the shower tray has been levelled!.  Radiator moved and electrics being sorted!  Slow but steady:

Paul (hubby) is his wisdom, decided that a new Bathroom was now in order! so this weekend our old one was totally dismantled!  As ever he had a helpful friend to keep watch and make sure that all the pipes were blocked off:  How long will I be with out a Bathroom - well who knows!  he's back with the day job now and there does not seem to be a lot being done evening wise!  Will report back with pictures as it progresses!  Fortunately just in case you we wondering we do have a separate toilet!!

What a wonderful sight this morning when I opened the Bedroom curtains the sky was clear and there in full view and light was the wonderful moon.  What a fantastic start to a new day.

TALITHA'S CHRISTMAS BEAR

This year was Talitha's 2nd Christmas and I had 7 Story Books about BRADLEY The New Forest Bear, these have been written by Christine Rix and are on general sale in Book shops or via Christine herself (just e-mail me for details).
I created the Teddy for Talitha so she could have the Bear as well to bring the stories to life.  I expect Mummy or Daddy are reading them to her, they are all about BRADLEY'S adventures in The New Forest and the Village's around here.
